About the Role

As a Specialist - Strategic Procurement, Engines Materials and USM, you will be responsible for the end-to-end planning, budgeting, and execution of the Used Serviceable Material (USM) and Surplus procurement process. Your focus will be on procuring used engine parts, overseeing engine teardown projects, optimizing inventory levels, and ensuring the quality and technical suitability of USM and Surplus materials. You will collaborate closely with technical, commercial, and leasing teams to maximize the value of used engine assets through strategic procurement, teardown oversight, and parts sales.

Your Responsibilities
  • USM Procurement (70%): Manage sourcing and procurement of factory new and used serviceable engine parts for IAE V2500 engines, ensuring certification, traceability, and regulatory compliance. Develop and maintain global supplier networks, negotiate purchase terms, and optimize inventory levels. Collaborate with stakeholders to align inventory with demand and identify resale or teardown opportunities.
  • Supplier Coordination & Delivery Assurance (15%): Maintain communication with suppliers to confirm orders and delivery timelines, escalate issues as needed, and monitor vendor performance.
  • System Management & Data Accuracy (10%): Accurately enter procurement data into ERP systems, generate reports, and maintain documentation for audit readiness.
  • Compliance and Internal Coordination (5%): Ensure adherence to company procurement policies, coordinate with Finance on invoice and pricing matters, and participate in audits and system improvements.
  • Cross-Functional Support: Support sales and marketing efforts, collaborate with quality and engineering teams to verify documentation, and assist in teardown project oversight.
  • Inventory Value Optimization & Valuation Modeling: Analyze stock levels, recommend strategic purchases or sales bundles, and maintain valuation models including repair costs, LLP cycles, and market values to inform procurement decisions.
Who we are looking for

We are seeking a candidate with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CIPS or CPSM are advantageous. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 8 years of experience in strategic or operational procurement within aviation, aerospace, or MRO sectors, with proven skills in supplier negotiations, contract management, and ERP systems like Oracle or SAP.

Key competencies include strategic sourcing, strong negotiation and commercial acumen, advanced analytical and valuation modeling skills, and expertise in inventory management and optimization. A deep understanding of regulatory and quality compliance requirements, excellent stakeholder collaboration abilities, and proficiency in ERP data integrity are essential. Additionally, the candidate should be capable of managing projects and cross-functional coordination to deliver integrated procurement outcomes.
