About the Role

The Buyer - Gate 2 plays a crucial role in managing the procurement activities within our Aviation & Aero Engine MRO division. You will be responsible for end-to-end purchasing processes including sourcing, negotiating with suppliers, processing purchase orders, and tracking orders through to final receipt. This role demands collaboration with multiple internal stakeholders to meet high-value procurement demands efficiently and cost-effectively. By leveraging market insights and procurement best practices, you will help optimize supplier relationships, drive cost savings, and ensure compliance with aviation regulations and company policies, contributing directly to the success of our operations.

Your Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal teams to understand procurement needs and align sourcing strategies accordingly.
• Support procurement planning, market research, and supplier selection for indirect materials and Surplus Used Material projects.
• Review, validate, and process purchase requisitions and generate purchase orders while ensuring compliance with pricing, terms, and company policies.
• Track and monitor procurement activities from order placement through delivery, coordinating with logistics and addressing shipment issues.
• Maintain clear communication with stakeholders by providing procurement status updates and escalating challenges with proposed solutions.
• Assist in supplier relationship management including negotiations, performance monitoring, and vendor improvement initiatives.
• Inspect received goods for quality and quantity compliance, coordinating corrective actions when necessary.
• Support vendor research, onboarding, and compliance processes, ensuring supplier data accuracy and adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by participating in procurement initiatives, policy development, and training programs.

Who we are looking for

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Buyer with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Candidates with 2 to 3 years of experience in operational purchasing or procurement, preferably within aviation, aerospace, or MRO industries, will excel in this role. Professional certifications such as CIPS or CPSM are advantageous. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with procurement processes, supplier negotiations, and ERP procurement systems like Oracle or SAP. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and collaboration are essential to thrive in our dynamic environment.
