Job Description

The Engineer – Engineering Production Support plays a critical role in supporting the evaluation and documentation of engine technical requirements. This position assists in interpreting OEM documentation and provides routine technical support to the engine overhaul and repair shop. Ensuring adherence to airworthiness standards, the Engineer also contributes to the preparation of technical reports. Working under guidance, this role supports smooth engine workflow and continuous technical development within the Aviation & Aero Engine MRO division.

Responsibilities
  • Engine Technical Support (25%): Assist in reviewing engine workscope and requirements according to OEM guidelines and customer inputs; support drafting Engine Work Instructions under Senior Engineer supervision.
  • OEM Documentation and Technical Inputs (20%): Support review and implementation of OEM documents such as SBs, ADs, and SILs; draft and amend technical notices with oversight.
  • Technical Reporting and Analysis (20%): Assist in preparing engine reports including Induction, Tear Down, and Final Reports; collect and analyze technical data to aid troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Shop Floor and Customer Support (15%): Respond to basic technical queries from shop floor personnel; escalate complex issues to Senior Engineers; coordinate internal communication on engine progress.
  • Compliance and Documentation (10%): Ensure safety and quality compliance across all activities; maintain accurate records in line with regulatory and company standards.
  • Development and Continuous Learning (10%): Attend technical training programs; stay updated with current OEM practices and regulatory changes; participate in team knowledge-sharing sessions.
Qualifications

Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or Aeronautical Engineering or an equivalent discipline. A minimum of 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in aviation is required, preferably within an Engine MRO environment. Experience with at least one of the following engine types is preferred: V2500, Trent 700, GenX, or LEAP.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline is required to qualify for this position.
