About the Role

The Senior Officer - Repair Capability Development plays a critical role within Sanad's Aviation & Aero Engine MRO division, supporting the Center of Excellence in Repairs & Special Process. This position is responsible for providing technical, documentation, coordination, and administrative support to facilitate the planning, qualification, and implementation of new or enhanced aero-engine repair capabilities. Reporting to the Director and working under the guidance of the Senior Engineer, the role ensures compliance with OEM, regulatory, quality, safety, health, and environmental standards while coordinating across multiple departments to ensure the availability of tooling, materials, and technical information.

Your Responsibilities
  • Technical Documentation and Repair Qualification Support: Assist in drafting, reviewing, and maintaining technical work instructions, routing sheets, and repair qualification documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Repair Capability Project Tracking and Coordination: Monitor repair development projects, update trackers and dashboards, coordinate meetings, and liaise with internal departments for resources and approvals.
  • Repair Validation and FAIR Documentation: Support repair trials and validation activities, compile First Article Inspection Report (FAIR) packages, and coordinate with relevant teams to ensure thorough documentation.
  • Regulatory, Quality, Safety and Environmental Compliance: Organize and maintain repair capability documentation in line with GCAA, EASA, FAA, and other standards; assist with audit preparations and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Performance Data and Management Reporting: Collect and consolidate performance data, prepare reports and presentations, and maintain records of project milestones and qualification outcomes.
  • Continuous Improvement and Team Support: Contribute to process improvements, support team initiatives, and perform related duties consistent with the position's purpose.
Who we are looking for

We seek a highly motivated professional with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field. Candidates should have at least five years of relevant experience in aviation, aero-engine MRO, manufacturing, repair development, process engineering support, or quality documentation. Preferred qualifications include training or certification in First Article Inspection (FAIR), engineering drawing interpretation, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), measurement systems, aviation quality systems, or Lean Six Sigma.

The ideal candidate demonstrates intermediate to advanced proficiency in technical documentation, repair capability development, FAIR support, regulatory compliance, project coordination, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. Familiarity with OEM technical requirements, aviation quality standards, and aero-engine repair and manufacturing processes is highly valued. Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Production, Planning, Procurement, and other stakeholders are essential.
