About the Role
The Senior Engineer – Engineering Production Support plays a critical role in providing independent technical engineering support for assigned engine programs. This includes interpreting OEM documentation, preparing detailed engineering work instructions and technical reports, and resolving routine to moderately complex technical issues encountered during engine overhaul and repair activities. The role ensures strict compliance with airworthiness and quality requirements while supporting shop floor operations and customer deliverables. Operating with limited supervision, the Senior Engineer escalates complex or non-standard engineering matters appropriately and contributes actively to continuous improvement initiatives within engineering processes.
Your Responsibilities
- Engine Technical Support (25%): Review engine workscope and technical requirements aligned with OEM manuals; prepare and update Engine Work Instructions and repair tasks; provide technical recommendations to support engine shop activities.
- OEM Documentation and Technical Authority Support (20%): Interpret and implement OEM documentation such as SBs, ADs, SILs, Repair Memos, and Engineering Letters; prepare engineering responses and technical notices; assess impact of OEM changes on shop capability and processes.
- Technical Reporting and Analysis (20%): Prepare and review technical reports including Induction, Tear Down, and Final Reports; analyze engine condition data to support troubleshooting and root cause investigations; assist in corrective and preventive action development to improve quality and turnaround time.
- Shop Floor and Customer Technical Support (15%): Serve as first-line engineering contact for shop floor technical queries; provide timely clarifications and engineering guidance; coordinate with Planning, Quality, Materials, and Production teams to ensure smooth engine workflow.
- Compliance, Quality, and Documentation Control (10%): Ensure engineering activities comply with regulatory, OEM, and company quality standards; maintain accurate records and document traceability; support internal and external audits by providing technical clarifications and evidence.
- Continuous Improvement and Professional Development (10%): Participate in initiatives to enhance engineering efficiency and documentation quality; stay updated with latest OEM, regulatory, and industry developments; share knowledge and lessons learned within the team.
Who we are looking for
We seek a highly skilled aerospace engineer with a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent. Candidates should have 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in Aviation, preferably within an Engine MRO environment, with hands-on engineering support on major engine programs such as V2500, Trent 700, GEnx, or LEAP. The ideal candidate demonstrates advanced technical knowledge of engine maintenance practices, OEM manuals, and approved repair data, with strong engineering judgment to resolve routine and moderately complex issues independently.
Key competencies include proficiency in technical documentation, regulatory compliance (EASA/FAA), structured problem-solving, effective stakeholder coordination, excellent communication skills in English, and meticulous attention to detail. A process improvement mindset and professional maturity to operate with minimal supervision while understanding escalation boundaries are essential for success in this role.
